Join the Wellness and Recovery Series for a presentation from Dr. Katie Cassell with United Indian Health Service, Tuesday, July 21st 10am-12pm
Dr. Cassell is a family medicine physician who did her undergraduate work at UC Berkeley and earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She has worked for UIHS since 2001. In 2017, she became certified to prescribe Suboxone in order to start a medication assisted treatment program for opiate addiction at UIHS.
The Wellness and Recovery Series is presented by local opioid coalitions and groups who are dedicated to promoting education, engagement, prevention and reducing the stigma of Opioid Use Disorder in our communities in order to move towards healing and recovery. We will be offering a series of workshops, presenters, and activities to meet those goals. We invite everyone in the community to attend the series we will have presentations for youth, public, and professionals. An application for CME credit has been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians, determination of credit is pending.

Live presentations will be happening on Tuesday / Wednesday and Thursday from June 30th to July 30th including speaker and panel series, videos, and activities, along with social media campaigns throughout the month.
