To date, the storm’s impact on tribal lands has been minimal. There have been brief power outages and a few trees in the road. More inclement weather is expected to hit Yurok Country in the coming days. The Yurok Tribe encourages everyone to be extra cautious until the weather clears. Please do not drive unless it is absolutely necessary. If you must drive, please keep an eye for standing water, fallen trees and downed powerlines. Park away from tall trees and power poles. If possible, stock up on food, firewood and other essentials. Don’t forget to charge your cellphones and other battery-powered electronics. On this page, we will post regular updates about potential storm-related hazards. If you experience an emergency, please call 911. Stay safe everyone!
